Gold on Copper for C2+ Alcohols
Our paper on a tandem catalyst for CO2 reduction was highlighted in Nature Reviews Materials. In it, we report the discovery of an electrocatalyst composed of gold nanoparticles on a polycrystalline copper foil that is highly active for CO2 reduction to alcohols. Read about the synergistic activity and selectivity of this catalyst in Nature Catalysis.

Extending the limits of Pt/C catalysts
An improvement to atomic layer deposition allows the deposition of Pt nanoparticles with a more than 40% improvement in Pt surface-to-volume ratio and high Pt mass activity for the oxygen reduction reaction. Read the full paper in Nature Catalysis.

Ammonia synthesis from N2 and H2O
We report a novel ammonia production strategy, exemplified in an electrochemical lithium cycling process, which provides a pathway to sustainable ammonia synthesis via the ability to directly couple to renewable sources of electricity and can facilitate localized production. Electrochemical production of hydrogen peroxide
A pair of recent papers describe the activity trends in electrochemical water oxidation to form hydrogen peroxide (read the Nature Communications paper here) and report a high-efficiency carbon catalyst for the production of H2O2 (read the Nature Catalysis paper here).
